AIWaysion is heading back to Detroit for the American Society of Civil Engineers International Conference on Transportation and Development (ASCE ICTD 2026)! Our team will present real-world deployments demonstrating how Edge AI digital infrastructure solutions are making transportation safer and more efficient.
Dr. Wei Sun, CEO & Co-Founder, will present "Advancing Traffic Safety through Edge AI and Smart Infrastructure: Insights from Urban and Rural Field Deployments" on Monday, June 29 from 3:00–4:15 PM in Session B2 – Operational AI for Transportation: Perceptions, Theories, and Real-World Deployments. The presentation covers how AI-powered edge computing and computer vision are enabling real-time traffic safety management, multimodal monitoring, and smart infrastructure through 150+ deployments across the United States.
Dr. Hung-Min Hsu, Principal Scientist, will present "Edge-Based Graffiti Incident Management for Transportation Assets" on Tuesday, June 30 from 4:45–6:00 PM. This session highlights successful deployments of Edge AI-powered infrastructure protection systems on major Washington State freeways, including real-time detection and notification of:
Graffiti tagging
Wire theft
Vandalism
Other transportation asset security events
These deployments demonstrate how Edge AI can help transportation agencies proactively protect critical infrastructure, reduce maintenance costs, and improve response times. If you'll be attending ICTD 2026, we'd love to connect and discuss how AI is transforming transportation safety, operations, and infrastructure management. See you in Detroit!
