AIWaysion Edge AI Devices Installed to Kick Off DDOT's M Street Road Safety Project

AIWaysion's Edge AI devices are now installed and operating on M Street as part of a new road safety project with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), developed in partnership with the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America). We're grateful to Sarah Abel and the ITS America team for their support in getting the installation up and running.

The M Street deployment is part of DDOT's broader "United We Go" initiative, which is installing digital infrastructure along the corridor to identify and address road safety challenges. The effort brings together a group of piloting technology partners alongside AIWaysion, including AV, Derq, Fehr & Peers, Cambridge Mobile Telematics, Quality Counts, LLC, Gravity Digital Solutions, Iteris, Inc., Ouster, and velo.ai.

This project reflects the kind of multi-partner, real-world collaboration AIWaysion looks for: combining Edge AI monitoring with the work of transportation agencies and technology peers to turn data into safer streets. We're excited to contribute to the M Street effort and to continue helping advance road safety solutions that save lives.
