AIWaysion is proud to support innovative transportation research alongside the NYU Tandon School of Engineering C2SMART Center, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA), and MetLife Stadium during the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Through this collaboration, AIWaysion's Edge AI computer vision platform helped analyze anonymized crowd movement in real time to improve pedestrian flow, event traffic management, and transportation operations.
Using AI-powered traffic analytics and real-time computer vision, the project provided valuable insights into crowd congestion patterns throughout one of the world's largest sporting events. The research demonstrates how Edge AI technology can support safer, more efficient movement of pedestrians and vehicles while helping transportation agencies and venue operators make data-driven operational decisions.
The collaboration highlights the growing role of AI for smart mobility, transportation analytics, and intelligent infrastructure in managing large-scale public events. By combining advanced analytics with existing transportation infrastructure, organizations can better understand crowd behavior, improve safety, and optimize mobility without disrupting operations.
AIWaysion is honored to collaborate with leading research institutions and public agencies to advance the future of AI-powered transportation technology, smart cities, and real-time mobility intelligence.
