AIWaysion Invited to USDOT’s Inaugural Roadway Safety Innovation Expo in Washington D.C

AIWaysion is honored to be invited to showcase its Edge AI roadway safety technology at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s first-ever Roadway Safety Innovation Expo on September 18, 2026, at USDOT headquarters in Washington, DC. The inaugural event will bring together more than 40 roadway innovations and offer hands-on demonstrations of emerging technologies designed to advance transportation safety.

At the Expo, AIWaysion will provide a live, interactive demonstration of its AI-powered traffic safety and computer vision capabilities. Attendees will be able to step into a simulated crosswalk and see how AIWaysion’s technology detects pedestrians and adjusts crossing signals in real time, demonstrating how intelligent transportation infrastructure can help reduce conflicts between vehicles and vulnerable road users.

The demonstration will also highlight AIWaysion’s capabilities in near-miss detection, trajectory prediction, and real-time intersection digital twins. By processing roadway data with Edge AI, these technologies can provide transportation agencies with actionable information to better understand traffic behavior, identify potential safety risks, and support real-time safety interventions.
